About the Club

The CU Energy Club is one of the largest student groups on campus. We are a truly interdisciplinary club, with members from Engineering, Business, Environmental Studies, Arts and Sciences, Law, and more. Many members are also students in the undergraduate and graduate energy certificate programs offered through RASEI, a joint institute of the University of Colorado Boulder and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. CU Energy hosts numerous energy-related events and programs throughout the year. In addition, we work with a variety of groups and organizations on campus to connect students to the energy industry via:

We welcome anyone interested in Energy at CU to join our club.  It only takes a minute.

HISTORY:

The CU Energy Club was formed by a group of students from across campus in August 2009. Initial interest in the club was immense, with over 500 students joining in the first year. Today the club continues to grow, with many members taking an active role in the club. In addition to inviting numerous distinguished speakers to CU, we have helped connect students with jobs, internships and other opportunities, both on and off campus. Some of the premier events hosted by CU Energy include:

  • Tours of local energy facilities, such as NREL and the CU cogeneration power plant
